Here’s hoping that all those of
you that celebrate Christmas have had a great time and are now looking forward to a great New Year and that all others are
well and happy and looking forward to the next 12 months.
It looks as though it is going to be another great year for calligraphers and I am already aware of some new books
that are to be released in the first half of 2011:
·
Great Britian’s Gilly Hazeldine’s first publication goes under the titled
– CONTEMPORARY CALLIGRAPHY: HOW TO USE FORMAL SCRIPTS TODAY is scheduled to be released early in the 2nd
Quarter.
·
Eleanor Winters has a new ITALIC COPPERPLATE CALLIGRAPHY book coming out within the first
half of the year.
·
There is a new book that will soon be available from the Austrilian Society of Calligraphers
called WORDSWORK – CALLIGRAPHY AND LETTERING ART OF AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND and I am really looking forward to receiving
my copies of that book and making it available to you over the next few weeks.
· …and
there is a strong rumour that Finland’s Veiko Vespersaks has a new book due out in the first half
of 2011 too.
I am planning to add all major calligraphy
events world-wide to my site over the next few months and, although I have information about many of the UK’s events,
I would appreciate your input for information for other parts of the world.
Finally, please check out these other amazing publications for 2010…
